I started Adnant in 2009 to build the firm I wanted to work for. I believe great companies start with a great culture. I’m proud to say we’ve grown into a values-driven company, that supports all of our communities. Through the last 13 years, we’ve founded, grown, turned around, restructured and lead both public and private companies and placed key executives in leadership roles all the while working with great organizations such as: Cookies, MedMen, GlassHouse Group, Unrivaled Brands, Loudpack, GTI, NorCal Cannabis Company, Beboe, Acreage Holdings, Verano Holdings, Shryne Group and Highland Events Grass Lands.
I’m passionate about art and working with non-profits such as Las Fotos Project, Downtown Women’s Center, The Good Shepherd Center, and Brilliant Corners. I’m the founder of Alta Loma Group, LLC, a real estate holding company on a mission to provide quality housing to people experiencing homelessness in South Central LA. I'm also one of the founders of High Art LA, LLC a radical collaboration of philanthropists and entrepreneurs whose aim is to challenge the exclusionary history of the art world.

I grew up in South Central LA and studied computer science at UC Irvine. Early on, I interned at Deloitte and NY Life, then spent a couple of years teaching English so I could travel the world. I had teaching gigs in Spain and France and determined that was an impractical and challenging way to live. I returned to LA and joined Adnant in 2015. I’ve worn multiple hats over the years focusing on operations, recruiting and project management. Today, I lead the operational planning and budget process for the company, as well as anything I can do to help the team Get Shit Done!

After a career in corporate life, I joined Adnant as an advisor in 2019, and moved into my current role the following year. I work with the executive team on long-term strategy, day-to-day operations and a variety of priority projects. My client work has focused on developing client mission/vision/values, operating plans and organization design. I love working with emerging executive teams to develop successful business strategies, a high performing organization, and a place people love to work. The culture here at Adnant is incredibly energizing: smart, driven people who are natural learners and want to accomplish great things for their clients and for each other.

I grew up in LA and got my BS in Business Management at CSU, Long Beach. I joined Adnant in 2019 and immediately knew this was a place where I would learn and grow. My first role was office manager, where I built processes and infrastructure for a more efficient workflow. Now, as Project Manager, I get to work directly with our amazing clients and accounting team. “Put People First” is one of our core values and Adnant is very active in local communities. I lead our Community Impact initiatives, which have added a ton of variety to my work and are very close to my heart. Outside of work my life consists of family, volunteering, activism, and music.

I was a corporate attorney and consultant for more than 10 years, navigating Private Equity M&A and Leveraged Finance transactions. I’ve worked with private equity sponsors, and public and private companies, on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and commercial financing. I spent three years overseeing the licensing and compliance efforts of cannabis operations in Northern California, and served as Executive Director of the Sacramento Cannabis Industry Association. I graduated with a BA from Dartmouth College, a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, and MS in Finance from the Kelley School of Business. Hola! I was born in Korea, grew up in SoCal (Harbor City, Glendale) and stayed for college (UCLA). I’ve since moved to the bay area (4 years) and now reside in NY while my wife finishes her residency program. We have 2 wonderful kids - a girl and a boy, who help keep our weekends busy. Surfing and snowboarding are passions of mine, and I’ve visited 20+ countries chasing pow and waves, ultimately finding the various local cuisine the most memorable part of the trip. Now, I hope to teach my kids that same thirst for adventure. On the professional side, I have 20+ years working in both public accounting (BDO) and private enterprises (cannabis and wholesale). Once a client of Adnant, I saw first-hand the stellar work they perform but more importantly the amazing culture we have, which made it an easy decision to join them in 2020. I was born and raised in LA and got my Bachelor’s in accounting at CSU Long Beach. I started my career as an auditor with Moss Adams, and after 3 years in public accounting, made the jump to Adnant in 2018. I specialize in audit assistance, technical accounting, and SEC/CSE financial reporting, and have worked with some of largest multi-state operators, including: MedMen, GTI, Verano, Cresco Labs and Cookies.I enjoy helping clients navigate through unique accounting scenarios in the cannabis industry, and I’m great at breaking down complexity. I work closely with clients by playing a hands-on, cross-functional role with other departments, attorneys, and auditors to manage all aspects of financial reporting. In addition to client services, I also work on company strategy, operating plans and recruiting.

I lead performance analysis and accounting for projects that have significant and technical transactions under GAAP and IFRS rules. I propose how to approach and structure difficult projects and often help our clients overcome roadblocks. I spend most of my time engaging with clients and orchestrating the work of the team members. Working with smart, interesting, fun people is the favorite part of my role. I really love that Get Shit Done is one of our core values. I get my energy from getting the job done and doing so with passion. In my free time, I enjoy sleeping, hanging with my family and eating entirely too much. I’m not good at sitting still and tend to try to fix things around the house to keep myself busy.

I grew up in Hacienda Heights, CA and later went to UCLA where I studied business economics, accounting, and political science. I served as the CFO for Grove, Inc.- a manufacturing, distribution, wholesale + retail company in the CBD industry. We did some exciting things as a team: equity fundraising, Chapter 11 restructuring, and ultimately led Grove’s IPO process. Since joining Adnant in 2021, I've enjoyed accounting for large investment funds ($65 million in committed capital) and leading the development of schedules, workpapers and analytical procedures to prepare for two-year audits and successful exits. Recently, in my role here at Adnant, I was appointed interim CFO for Unrivaled Brands.

Following my graduation from the University of Toledo, I moved to California and began my accounting career as an assurance auditor with Raimondo Pettit Group. After 5 years in public accounting, I joined the Adnant Team and have assisted some of the largest cannabis companies in the industry, such as MedMen, Cookies, and Glass House Brands Inc. I work with the Adnant team and our clients to provide premium accounting and consulting services that specialize in financial reporting and technical accounting.

I’m originally from Indiana and graduated from Purdue in 2017. I worked in public accounting for about 6 years and specialized in affordable housing audits and development projects across the country. I eventually transitioned to a larger firm and got a broader experience with different industries, including cannabis. I’ve always been interested in cannabis and I'm excited to have a career and help make a difference in this industry. I decided to go all in on cannabis and join Adnant in January 2023.

I advise clients on a range of topics: go-public process, investment fund development, strategy, capital deployment, operations, due diligence and investor relations. I’m energized by the opportunities and partnerships we have with our clients, particularly with early, hyper-growth companies.
